Program Overview

Our Stylist Assistant Program is designed to take you from foundation to flourishing over the course of approximately 9 months, giving you the skills and experience needed to thrive behind the chair. The program is designed to be flexible—some stylists may progress faster, while others may take more time to fully refine their skills.

  • (Approx. 3 months)
    In this first phase, you’ll focus on building a strong foundation by:

    • Getting to know the Pretty Co. team, guests, and salon flow.

    • Testing out on all services offered, ensuring you meet our salon’s high standards.

    • Consistently booking one day a week of clients to gain hands-on experience.

    • Building momentum on social media, showcasing your skills and attracting potential clients.

    This phase is all about gaining confidence, mastering the basics, and establishing your presence both in the salon and online.

  • (Approx. 3 months)
    In this phase, you’ll focus on consistency and precision as you build momentum with your skills and clientele. You’ll be:

    • Consistently booking two days a week of clients, gaining valuable real-world experience.

    • Honing your timing and efficiency with both technical and business skills to maximize your productivity behind the chair.

    • Developing a strategic social media and marketing plan to strengthen your brand, attract new clients, and increase visibility.

    This phase is all about elevating your performance—perfecting your skills, refining your timing, and building a stronger presence both in the salon and online.

  • Item (Approx. 3 months)
    By this stage, you’ve built a solid foundation and are ready to step into your next level of expertise. As a Senior Assistant, you’ll focus on:

    • Consistently booking 2-3 days a week, with your schedule filling to capacity.

    • Fine-tuning any loose ends in both technical skills and business strategies.

    • Sharpening your timing and efficiency, ensuring your services are performed at an ideal pace while maintaining quality.

    This final phase is about confidence, refinement, and stepping fully into your role as a stylist. By the end of the program, you’ll be prepared to transition into a full-time stylist with the skills, experience, and clientele to support your success.
